I've been a technology and science geek since I saw the Apollo Moon landing in 3rd grade Summer school. Radar tech at 17 years old, 24.5 years in Telecommunications, building web sites in Blogger and Wordpress, PC repair, and lately, studying and teaching Information Technology. I'm a one-tour Air Force veteran and a member of Civil Air Patrol. I have written poetry for nearly three decades, and I draw and paint a bit. Married for 25 years (so far) with one son and one stepson. I'm also a bookworm from way, way back, and love hard science fiction, space operas, and fantasy. I also am a martial arts student, and hope to become a Tai Chi instructor in my retirement years.

Thoughts...

I'd like to write a little about the history of PLP, but this laptop has a bad habit of wiping out my posts after I've half written them, so it'll have to wait until I'm at the desktop.

I'm the lone poet here tonight for PLP's October reading, so I thought I'd put energy into this event in another way, by bringing it it's very own blog.

This is going to be the more personal side of Plainfield Live Poetry. Sure, I'll post reading dates, group updates, events in the area. But this is where I'm also going to speak from the heart about PLP, to give it the more human history and it's own little diary.

Long overdue, I think.
